Betty Olive

Betty Sue Olive, 77, of DeMotte, IN, was carried on the Wings of angels with her loving husband Herschel on May 30, 2012. She was born on July 9, 1934 in Alabama to the late Willie and Ardena Killingsworth. On July 20, 1957, Betty married the Love of her life, Herschel Olive Jr. She was a home maker, and enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, shopping, playing softball, and spending time with her family. She was also a Cubs and Bears fan, as well as a member of the First Baptist Church of Roselawn, where she contributed much of her life to share Christ’s love.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband Herschel; her brother Thomas; and brother in laws, Johnny Stephens, and Jerry Maness.

Survived by: children Willard Pendergrass of Alabama, Joey Olive of Las Vegas, Mark(Peggy)Olive of Roselawn, Jamie(Sabrina)Olive of Roselawn, Sandy(Randy) Brunton of Roselawn; brother Wayne(Juanita) Killingsworth of AL; sisters Nola Jane Stephens of AL, Linda(Charles) Burton of AL, Martha Maness of AL; as well as 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday June 6, 2012 at 11 am in the First Baptist Church of Roselawn, with Pastor Joel Gilbert officiating. Burial will be Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 1 PM at Railroad Cemetery in Tennessee. Friends may call on Tuesday June 5, 2012 from 2-8pm at the First Baptist Church of Roselawn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Roselawn, Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. www.frazierfuneralhome.net
